Ana Maria Rosales- Najera, 67 of Spring Branch, Texas passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016. She was born to the late Anastacio and Silveria Rosales on Oct. 19, 1949, in Alice, TX. Ana graduated from Williams High School in Alice, TX in 1968 and received a BA & MA from Texas A & I University in Kingsville, TX. Ana met Gilbert Najera in San Antonio, TX and got married on January 1, 1997. She was a lifelong teacher in the community and in the church. Ana Maria Rosales- Najera, 67 of Spring Branch, Texas passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016. She was born to the late Anastacio and Silveria Rosales on Oct. 19, 1949, in Alice, TX. Ana graduated from Williams High School in Alice, TX in 1968 and received a BA & MA from Texas A & I University in Kingsville, TX. Ana met Gilbert Najera in San Antonio, TX and got married on January 1, 1997. She was a lifelong teacher in the community and in the church. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students, as well as any stranger standing next to her. Ana was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She devoted her time to serving the Lord by sharing his word with others. Ana retired from Northside Independent School District, Soul Ross middle school, Saenz Elementary in Alice, TX and also taught high school in Freer, TX. Ana is survived by her husband: Gilbert Najera Sr. Her son: Sonny Rosales, Her step son: Gilbert Najera Jr., from San Antonio, TX her two brothers: Joel and Refugio (Susdivina) Rosales from Alice, TX her grandchildren: Sergio, Sonny, Amanda, Ashley, Genevieve, Michael, & Juliet Her great-grandchild: Charlotte. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, her family and her friends. Visitation is Monday, November 28, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Sunset North Funeral Home Chapel. A procession will depart Sunset North Funeral Home at 8:30 am to the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Honey Creek in Spring Branch, TX at 9:00 am with a procession to Burial at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
